To actively respond to the prominent need for fire safety in the rapid socio-economic development of Kaifeng , in September 2020, the Kaifeng Fire Rescue Brigade and our center's associate professor, Wang Li, as the lead, signed a contract for the drafting of the "Regulations on Fire Management in Kaifeng ." Based on legislative research conducted in Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Kaifeng, and other places, the "Regulations on Fire Management in Kaifeng (draft)" were formulated. After extensive solicitation of opinions, the draft was reviewed and approved at the 79th Executive Meeting of the Kaifeng Municipal People's Government on June 15, 2022. It was officially announced on July 7 and will be implemented from September 1. This will further strengthen the construction of public fire protection infrastructure in Kaifeng, enhance the implementation of fire safety responsibilities by governments, industry departments, and social units, and improve the level of social fire prevention and control and emergency firefighting and rescue capabilities. It will provide effective fire safety protection for the high-quality economic and social development of Kaifeng.
