On November 17, 2023, the Duty Crime Prosecution Research Center of Henan University held the "Jin-Chuan Swordsmanship—Chongqing and Tianjin Duty Crime Prosecution Debate" at the Comprehensive Report Hall of Henan University.
The debate invited experts and scholars including Zhang Xijing, Deputy Director of the Third Procuratorial Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Li Congming, the hosting prosecutor of the Third Procuratorial Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Chen Sai, the hosting prosecutor of the Third Department of Tianjin Procuratorate, and Liu Luyang, Director of the Duty Crime Prosecution Research Center of Henan University. Prosecutors from Chongqing, Tianjin, and some prosecutors from the Procuratorate of Kaifeng City, as well as teachers and students of Henan University, attended the event.
During the debate, the two sides focused on distinguishing between two cases, presenting their views clearly, and refuting each other's views based on legal provisions. Using an adversarial format, the two sides engaged in arguments, free debates, and concluding remarks.
The debate showcased the outstanding performance of prosecutors from Tianjin and Chongqing, enriching the theme education of "firm conviction, law enforcement for the people," and enhancing the reasoning ability of participating prosecutors. It is believed that after this debate, the prosecutors will present satisfactory results in their work with a new look and new achievements.
