Recently, the Henan Provincial Department of Education issued a notice titled "Notice of Henan Provincial Department of Education on Publishing the List of New-Type Think Tanks in Henan Province's Universities for Record Filing," announcing 78 think tanks included in the list of new-type think tanks in provincial universities. The Duty Crime Prosecution Research Center at Henan University was successfully selected.
The notice states that each listed think tank can participate in the periodic evaluation, topic application, and results promotion activities of the new-type think tanks in the province's universities. They are expected to demonstrate the value of the think tank and contribute to the "two guarantees" and the implementation of the "Ten Major Strategies." The notice requires each listed think tank to focus on national and provincial major strategies, actively conduct decision-making consulting research on key issues of concern to the provincial party committee and government, and submit at least 2 advisory reports quarterly. Additionally, they are required to submit an annual progress report in December, mainly including representative achievements, personnel information, funding, database and case library construction, policy support from universities, and management systems.
Established in 2014, the Duty Crime Prosecution Research Center at Henan University is currently one of the university's three key research institutions in the humanities and social sciences. On August 28, 2020, it was awarded the title of "Duty Crime Prosecution Research Base" by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, becoming the only national-level procuratorial think tank for duty crime prosecution nationwide. In the future, the center will actively organize and coordinate research cooperation with government agencies, enterprises, and institutions, striving to become a talent cultivation base, a channel for policy recommendations, and a legal research center with first-class standards and significant influence in the field of duty crime prosecution research in China.
